Prologue

This story is about an ordinary family doing their first travel to "real" Africa. We've been to Egypt but it's more like Middle East and doesn't count in my books.
Our family is me (Peter), my wife (Agneta) and our kids Nemo (8 yrs) and Freja (5 yrs)

Now one may wonder why we would choose Africa as destination. The choice wasn't obvious at all. The only thing we knew was that we were quite fed with the Canary Islands. Having traveled there every year since Nemo was born.
Besides we're not the sun worshiping type of people. Before the kids were born we liked to travel to places where we could experience nature and/or culture.

We decided that the kids were old enough to go on a more adventurous holiday than usual.
Having looked at many destinations we decided for Kenya.

We booked our travel through an agency called Topp Afrika. They had provided us with a program that we found exciting.
The plans for the trip were as follows :
Day 1 - Arrival Nairobi
Day 2 - Nairobi
Day 3 -  Travel to Amboseli
Day 4 - Amboseli
Day 5 - Travel to Tsavo West
Day 6 - Travel to Mombasa
Day 7-11 - Mombasa
Day 12 - Travel home
